About the Event

Alison MacLeod is the author of six books. Her new novel Tenderness is published internationally by Bloomsbury. Her last novel, Unexploded, was long-listed for the Booker Prize and the Walter Scott Prize; it was named one of the Observer‘s ‘Books of the Year’ and serialised for BBC Radio 4. It is also optioned for film. Her last short story collection, All the Beloved Ghosts, was shortlisted for The Edge Hill Prize and Canada’s prestigious Governor General’s Award for Fiction. Her short stories have been nominated for the BBC National Short Story Prize and the Sunday Times Short Story Award. She leads 'The Stories We Tell' initiative (Arts Council England) and lectured in Literature and Creative Writing for 30 years. alison-macleod.com
